Privacy Policy

Effective: September 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Learn Sugar LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (“Learn Sugar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit learnsugar.ai, use our mobile applications(the Learn Sugar apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play), or use our courses, lessons, quizzes, practice tools, and related services (together, the “Service”). The mobile apps are companion shells that load the same Learn Sugar Service you use on the web. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and Refund Policy.

1. Personal information we collect

We collect information in these categories:

  • Account and profile. Name, email address, phone number if you provide it, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), and other profile fields you choose to add.
  • Learning activity. Progress through lessons and modules, quiz and practice results, certificates issued, study-practice configuration, and similar usage data needed to run the Service.
  • Purchases and billing. When you buy a course on the website, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment card or bank details and processes the transaction. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as what you purchased, when, and the amount, but not your full card number. When you subscribe in the iOS app, Apple processes the In-App Purchase; we receive a signed App Store transaction (and related subscription status) so we can unlock course access. We do not receive your Apple ID password or full card number from Apple.
  • Communications and support. Messages you send via our contact page, in-app support tickets at /account/support, email replies to your ticket address, and the Learner Services Assistant (our on-site help chat). For contact and guest chat submissions we store a hashed IP address, not your full IP.
  • Technical and device data. Browser type, device type, general location inferred from IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. In production we use Google Analytics 4to understand aggregate site and in-app usage (including when you use the Service inside a mobile app’s embedded browser). We may use cookies or similar technologies as described in Section 4.
  • Mobile apps — biometric / device unlock sign-in (optional). If you turn on Face ID, Touch ID, or another device biometric unlock in a Learn Sugar mobile app, your sign-in credentials are stored in the device’s secure storage (for example, the iOS Keychainor Android’s encrypted credential store) so you can unlock them with biometrics or the device unlock method your OS provides. We do not receive your biometric images or templates; those stay on your device and are handled by the operating system (Apple or Google / device manufacturer). You can turn this off in Account settings in the app.
  • Mobile apps — push notifications (optional). If you opt in to push notifications, we store a push device token so we can send alerts such as course-access reminders and support-ticket updates. On iOS that token is an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token. On Android, if push is enabled for your build, we may store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for the same purpose. You can disable notifications in your device Settings and/or in Account → Notifications in the app. Turning notifications off stops new tokens from being used for delivery.
  • Mobile apps — sign-in and purchases. Google and Apple sign-in may open a system authentication sheet to complete OAuth, then return you to the app. On iOS, full course access is an auto-renewing Apple In-App Purchase. On Android and the website, enrollment and renewal are completed on learnsugar.ai as a monthly Stripe subscription until you cancel, not Google Play Billing.

2. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and secure your account and authenticate you.
  • Deliver courses, track progress, issue certificates, and operate quizzes and practice.
  • Process payments, prevent fraud, and handle refunds as described in our Refund Policy.
  • Send transactional emails (for example, purchase receipts, password resets, account notices).
  • Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
  • Send optional push notifications you have opted into on a mobile app.
  • Improve the Service, fix bugs, and understand aggregate usage patterns.
  • Comply with law, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect Learn Sugar and our users.

3. How we share personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the Service or as required by law:

  • Service providers. We use vendors that process data on our behalf, including:
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Learn Sugar, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Learn Sugar is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in (Supabase Auth), remember preferences, run Turnstile on forms, and measure aggregate traffic (Google Analytics), including when the Service runs inside a mobile app’s embedded browser. The Learner Services Assistant is rule-basedin its current version; it does not use your messages to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Android Advertising ID for cross-app advertising tracking. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking certain cookies may limit some features of the Service.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After you delete your account, we remove your login and profile details. We keep de-identified purchase and tax records, and a one-way record that an account using that email existed, so we can detect a returning customer and meet legal obligations. When retention is no longer required, we delete or de-identify information in accordance with our practices and applicable law.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. You may update some account information in your account settings, where available. In the Learn Sugar app or on the website, use Account → Security → Delete account to request permanent deletion. Deletion is completed automatically within 30 days (except records we are legally required to keep), or sooner if our team finishes it earlier. Website Stripe subscriptions are cancelled when deletion completes. App Store subscriptions are billed by Apple and can continue after your account is gone unless you cancel them in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. You may also open a ticket at /account/support, or contact us. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law.

California residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information subject to exceptions, and the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, use /account/support or our contact page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. International users

Learn Sugar is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by email or a notice in the Service). Your continued use of the Service after the new Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
