Terms of Use
Effective: September 8, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you”) and Learn Sugar LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (“Learn Sugar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), which operates the website at learnsugar.ai, the Learn Sugar mobile applicationsavailable on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and the related courses, lessons, quizzes, practice tools, certificates, and other features (collectively, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, purchasing a course, downloading or using a mobile app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 17.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account or make a purchase. If you are a minor, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete account information.
- Use a strong password and not share your account with anyone else.
- Notify us promptly via our contact page if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused, shared, or used in violation of these Terms.
4. Purchases, Pricing, and Payments
Course prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may be subject to applicable sales tax based on your billing address. Website full-course access is a monthly subscription ($29.99/month unless a different price is shown at checkout). By subscribing you authorize us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method $29.99 plus applicable tax today and on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Account → Billing (Stripe Customer Portal). Tax is calculated and collected by Stripe at website checkout. Those payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. iOS app full-course access is sold as an auto-renewing Apple In-App Purchase ($29.99/month unless Apple shows a different local price), billed by Apple to your Apple ID. You can cancel auto-renew in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds for Apple charges are handled by Apple; website refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. We may change prices, offerings, and promotions at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
You may complete checkout as a guest without an existing account. We will email you instructions to set a password and access your purchase. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and keeping it secure.
We may also let you create an account to start a free trial without paying (for example, with Google or with email and password). A free trial does not charge your payment method. You are still responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
If you use the Learn Sugar iOS app, full course access is purchased as an Apple In-App Purchase (auto-renewing monthly subscription). Apple processes that payment; we receive a signed transaction used to unlock your enrollment. If you use the Android app or the website, course enrollment is a monthly Stripe subscription until you cancel, completed on learnsugar.ai, not through Google Play Billing. Do not rely on in-app copy that steers you to a cheaper website price for the same digital content on iOS.
5. Mobile Application
The Learn Sugar mobile apps (iOS and Android) are companions for enrolled learners to sign in and study using the same account, courses, and progress as on the website. Your license to course content is the same limited license described in Section 6, whether you access the Service on the web or in an app. We may update an app from time to time and may require you to install updates to keep using it. Availability depends on the Apple App Store or Google Play and your device. Optional features such as biometric / device-unlock sign-in and push notifications are described in our Privacy Policy; they are not required to use the core Service.
6. Course Access and License
When you purchase a course, Learn Sugar grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and view that course’s content for your own non-commercial educational use, for the access period associated with your enrollment (including any time-limited access shown at checkout or in your account). Access ends when your enrollment expires, when you cancel or are refunded, or when these Terms terminate. Website full access is an auto-renewing monthly Stripe subscription billed until you cancel from Account → Billing. iOS app full access is an auto-renewing Apple subscription billed monthly until you cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. We may also offer a free trial with limited course access (for example, a single skill sprint). Trial access is not a full license. If you purchase after a trial, your paid access period starts on the purchase date (not the trial start date), and we keep any progress you earned during the trial.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and all of its content—including lessons, videos, audio, illustrations, questions, answer explanations, practice items, study guides, software, and the Learn Sugar name and logo—are owned by Learn Sugar LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited license in Section 6, you may not:
- Copy, download, scrape, redistribute, publish, or sell any part of the Service.
- Modify, translate, or create derivative works from the content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
- Use the Service to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine-learning model without our prior written consent.
8. User Content and Feedback
You may submit content to the Service, such as profile information, notes, answers, or messages (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, and you grant Learn Sugar a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, and use it as needed to provide and improve the Service. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
9. Learner Services Assistant and Support
The Service includes a Learner Services Assistant (on-site help chat) and in-app support tickets at /account/support, which may also accept email replies to your ticket address. The Assistant is rule-based in its current version: it provides automated FAQ-style answers and links, not professional, legal, medical, or flight-training advice. It may offer to open a support ticket on your behalf. Support content you submit must be accurate and respectful; we may refuse or close abusive or spam tickets.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account or course access with anyone else.
- Cheat on quizzes or assessments, or help others do so, including by distributing answer keys.
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service.
- Interfere with the Service’s security, performance, or other users’ use of it.
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative.
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Harass staff or send unlawful, threatening, or spam content through support channels.
We may investigate suspected violations and remove content or suspend access without notice if we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that a violation has occurred.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Stripe (website payments), Apple (iOS In-App Purchase), Supabase (authentication and data storage), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (Turnstile bot protection), Google (Analytics), embedded media providers, and others listed in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy notices, and we are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of any third-party service.
12. Educational Content Disclaimer — FAA Non-Affiliation
Learn Sugar courses, including FAA Part 107 exam preparation materials, are independent study resources. Learn Sugar LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), PSI Services, or any other government agency or testing provider. Official knowledge-test scheduling, fees, and scoring are handled solely by the FAA and its authorized testing partners. We make no guarantee that you will pass any exam, obtain any certification, or achieve any specific outcome by using the Service. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable aviation laws and regulations when operating an aircraft of any kind.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time, or that course content is complete, current, or suitable for any specific purpose.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learn Sugar LLC and its officers, members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Learn Sugar for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Learn Sugar LLC and its officers, members, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) your use or misuse of the Service, (b) your User Content, or (c) your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may close your account from Account → Security. Closing your account cancels website Stripe subscriptions when deletion completes. App Store subscriptions are billed by Apple; you must cancel those in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or they can continue after your Learn Sugar account is gone. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or that continued access poses a risk to Learn Sugar or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including Sections 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, and 20—will survive.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify registered users (for example, by email or in-product notice). Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them.
18. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 19, you and Learn Sugar agree that any lawsuit arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
19. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us via our contact page and giving us at least thirty (30) days to respond. Either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court for disputes within that court’s jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Learn Sugar each agree that any dispute will be brought in an individual capacity only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
20. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Learn Sugar regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Electronic communications. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, and you agree that electronic notices satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
- Contact. Questions about these Terms can be submitted on our contact page.
